Already modified my garage vacume lol!

I found a vacume hose off another vacume we dumped a while ago. As usual I robbed it of valuable items lol . Hay! A vacume has valuable items like the hose's and accessory hose tips! lol. I've taped this extra flex hose to the vacume home for longer extension before, but it's a pita if the tape rips and it goes flying out if I have it streatched out.

So I modified the vacume hose to accept the extra hose. I added a rubber tube under the latch to allow it to pop and lock more positively. Pushes easily though. Works great. And gives me 9' of un-streatched hose to use. Streatches to almost 15 feet now. Glad I kept that old hose. I can't leave ANYTHING alone .

More mod pics...Tied the tube in place and glued the knot. Won't be coming off. You can see the rubber tube collapse but give upward pressure to positively lock the latch.

Last of the pics...Extra long vacuming now! . My parts washer is 8' so as you can see I'm over that by a foot, and un-streatched. Cool mod, stoked with the final product.
