I think I have decided on using al's liner And HNR on my K5. 4 wheel parts wants $109 a gal plus tax and doesn't even carry the HNR. Last time I wanted something that wasn't in stock they wanted me to pay shipping too.

Any member vendors on ck5 sell this stuff? I know there used to be one.

Didn't deuling run als in his rig? You can check out his build thread towards the end just before he put a dodge part in it to make it run.

No, dueling used something else, cant remember what though. I have some decent pics in my K5 thread, I lined the underside of the tub with AL's and have also used it to line the underside of my dads 53 Willys wagon I'm building.
I bought it from http://www.cumminsperformanceparts.com/al39s-lin39.html, looks like they are at $99 per gallon kit with free shipping.

I haven't used the HNR (yet ) but will be once I'm ready to do the interiors of the K5 and the Willys, the "regular" liner is great stuff and IMHO the best DIY liner out there.

Post 74 has some pics. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252851&page=8. The camera doesn't really represent it 100%, and keep in mind you can control texture by adjusting air pressure when spraying. I used the gray under the Willys and it really looks great as well, I can try to get some pics of that if you like, just let me know.

"Blaze" used to be a vendor here and is who I bought from the first time but he has since gotten out of the coatings business.

Do you have any pics of the gray interior? That's the color I was thinking. I am afraid just straight al's will be slick and my feet will slide while driving. If it's slick like that then I am going to have to run the rubber and then I will switch to black.

My buddy did his jeep throughout with the crumb. I had my doubts but in person it looks awesome.

We did the gray on the underside of the Willys, I will try to get my brother to post some pics of it tomorrow.

I used the LINER Xtreeme.

go to www.sprayonbedliners.info

$150 for 3 gallons of it. 2 gals of the liner, 2 quarts hardener, 2 quarts reducer, and 2 bags of either heavy or light crumb. I used the light, but you could mix however much or little you like. Turned out way badass when i sprayed it on!! :waytogo:

Only Closeup I got at the moment. Kinda dusty though.

Overall I really like it, and I still have 1.5 gallons left after laying a nice thick coat. And it dried hard.

Safety first

That turned out sweet man. I used heavy crumb when I sprayed and I didn't like the result. It was way rough and dirt and all got down in the texture and was hard to wash and sweep out. Smooth looks great!

I used the fine crumb casey, and i really love it, and the fact ive got half the kit left over. Thanks for the recomendation dude!:thumb:

No problem! I also have like exactly half of the kit I ordered and I have a bag of fine also I plan on using when I spray the bed of the silverado but I just haven't gotten around to it. No more heavy crumb for this kid!

Yah i think the fine looks awesome. But to anyone doing it, make sure to prep prep prep, and prep some more. Scuff up everything, blast any rust, wipe everything clean with laquer thinner or something. Also when you spray, the stuff gets all over, so wrap/tape off anything you dont want overspray on. And with the hardener you only get 1/2 hour before its too thick for the gun (what the directions say anyway) so make sure the gun works, mix and go. Put gloves on too lol.

I really like that liner extreeme. I am getting ready to do my interior, as soon as I get my new front and back seats mounted in. Got the new front seats earlier this week and yesterday I started tearing out the carpet and insulation. Looks like that kit may leave me enough to to the floors on my enclosed trailer, I wonder how well it sticks to wood?

What does everyone do with the wires that are running under the carpet? Are those wires only for speakers? Do you just lose the rear speakers? I think I am going to get rid of the back side panels, at least for now. I think I am going to mount a speaker in each door panel and then maybe build a custom box and put some component speaker next to the passenger seats. I was thinking of punching through with wires up front, running it along the frame, and poppin back out though the floor wherever I need it. Any ideas?
