Alt wiring question

I have done the serpintine belt conv on my M1009,and ordered the late style pigtail from painless(part # 30707) It came with a resistor and the instructions said to use it when not using a charge light,but says nothing about where to put it.So where's it go???

to the wire from the old alternator that has power with the key on.
