How do i find out what amp atlenator i have? I think i have the wrong one in my K5

I think it's stamped on the casing. If all else fails, go to Auto Zone with it and have them test it.

On my alternator, its stamped in the case about where the two halfs of the alternator bolt together. It's not in very big print.
