I want to install a battery isolator. But I cant figure out how to tell how much amp's my Alternator is putting out. There is no markings on the Alternator. can anyone tell me how to tell. This is on a 88 K5 350

Should be 105amps, IIRC.
If you think that you'll ever upgrade to a bigger alternator, then go ahead and buy an isolator setup now that will deal with the higher current. The alternator you have now will work just fine with an isolator rated for more current.
