can someone show me how the alternator mounts to the engine on the second gens? I know it's on the pass side but how/where does the bracket mount? and will it work with TPI?

You need to be more specific as to year, my 2nd gen 89 mounts on the driver side not the passenger side.

looking for a mount on the passenger side. that should explain it
I've got a first gen and I"m wanting to move mine maybe.

There is a threaded hole in the intake manifold near the front on the passenger side in the top, and on the front side I do believe.

It bolts to those two, and then the alternator itself uses an accessory hole in the front of the head. The bracket that bolts to the intake is for the tension.

I'm a bit confused now, all the first Gens i've seen are mounted on the passenger side from the factory. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

TPI uses a crazy bracket that bolts to a stud on the front passenger side runner, since the intake isn't flat where the upper alternator bracket bolts on carbed setups.

All the other pieces work, but will likely require some "shimming" to get the pulley angle right.
