So, the blazer is slowly accumulating more electronic goodies. I need switches to control things (lights, lockers, etc.) but don't want to butcher my dash. Would yall mind posting some pics of where you have switches mounted? I did find this thread to have some value. Eventually planning to set up an isolated second battery so there will need to be room for expansion potentially.

For my next question, the junkyard had a 50% off sale and I said to hell with it and snagged an alternator from a 2000's Silverado. Slapped that bish on there and kind jerry rigged the wiring (don't judge me lol).

She's charging and all seems well? But idk if I'm gonna burn down my truck or burn out the alt. Advice is appreciated. My 89 TBI only had the 'F' wire, which I wired to the 'F' terminal of the new plug. Besides a better connection than a t-tap, do I need to add anything else?

For the switches you can actually use a small touchscreen that controls some relays. I’m pretty sure there’s a thread on here with someone who did it. If you can’t find it I’ll search later.

I have an overhead shelf that bolts in place of the visors. In the middle of that I have a switch panel that controls my electrical accessories. I'm really happy with the functionality and clean look of it.

You able to snag a pic when it's convenient?

Yeah,I'll get a pic. I tried to take one a little bit ago but it didn't work out at all with it being dark outside.

@jkroberts has a nice plate for the switch pro.

Here are the switch panel mounts I sell they are designed for a Switch Pro SP9100. $40 shipped!

Do you make any of these that don't have a cutout for the SP9100?

Just thinking maybe a blank would be handy for those running switches but not that specific setup?

Perhaps folks could use nylon-tipped set screws to hold it in place without having to drill into the ashtray too. Wouldn't be a terrible place to have USB charge ports...

That would be slick with cutouts for contura or similar switches or even just a blank.
