Nice job. From the start what was bugging me was the bolt on. I’m glad you welded it because it convinced me even more that I should buy these. Thanks for starting this thread because I really never heard of them before I read it hereOK everyone the driver door is done. If you have original doors the bolt in unit fits nice. I have Tri-plus doors so the contours did not line up at all. I am pre paint so I decided I wanted to weld it into the door. I cant begin to tell you the difference it makes. the doors shut with ease and no play at all. I highly recommend this upgrade.

I watched the video. Interesting product. Not crazy about the bolt on install. I'd want to flush set the door plate and weld it in for appearance.
After installing one I can confirm it would mess with the outside door handle and inside latch rod. Biggest issue would be the striker. It just catches as it is, moving it farther away would need to be addressed. You could shim behind the plate.i think I would too. I guess I could trim it down and do that. Would just need to make sure the 1/8” offset doesn’t affect operation.
They are on my list now too.I'd be pretty tempted to put those in my 66.
Could the striker on the door jam be shimmed away from the body to make up for a flush install mismatch? After installing one I can confirm it would mess with the outside door handle and inside latch rod.
