I have a tippmann 98 paintball gun that I built a while ago. The body is made of aluminum and I chopped the front grip off of it to mount a custom one.

The JB weld I used to fill in part of the gun where the old grip was just doesnt cut it for something to tap. I need to manage to fill it in with some weld.

The question is do they make fluxcore aluminum wire seeing as how the only welder I have access to is my garbage easy mig (no gas, der on the name) from harbor freight.

No flux core aluminum that I've ever heard of, and it sounds like your machine wouldn't have the jam to run aluminum anyways. Then there is the need for a spool gun...

Aluminum requires shielding gas to weld properly. Flux would probably contaminate the weld so bad that all you'd get is a molten mess.

If you want you can ship it out to me and I can TIG it. It would only cost the shipping which probably wouldn't be much if you stripped it down to just what needs welded. PM me if interested.

That'd be the best way to repair it, and that is a generous offer. :waytogo:
