Has anyone tried one of those fancy aluminum radiators up on ebay? Just curious. Looks like a good deal for the $200 range.

I have to swap my 4 core out for 2 core to make room for a Cummins :D so I'll be buying one anyhow. I'm just wondering about quality etc....not that a NAPA OEM replacement is any better. I was thinking about a Be-Cool but they are $500 or more. For the same price as the NAPA gig I could pick up the one on ebay. Just wondering if anybody has tried them out.

I've been very pleased with the quality on the Summit units... iirc they are made by Northern.. dirt cheap too...

I got the same rad as ryoken and was very pleased. I bought it as part of a kit with dual 10" electric fans and aluminum shroud. The fans rarely run.
Cheap too just like me:D

Which Summit radiator are you running? The universal fits seem pretty reasonable but the direct fits get pricey. Just curious.

I'm hoping the swap doesn't run me too much. I picked up a complete donor truck, and I'm hoping I can make some money back selling the parts I don't need off it like the D60 front and so on. I intend on selling the drivetrain in my truck as well. I'm hoping that I can cover the $$ I paid for the donor and a few of the parts needed for the swap. I'm going to rebuilt the dodge trans and transfer case myself so I should save some $$ there. Big expenses are going to be a motor mount kit, converter for the dodge tranny, driveshafts, custom bent 4" exhuast. If I can walk away dropping say $2k total I'll be a happy man. I have a lot of spare GM parts that I won't need anymore so hopefully I can tighten the margin.

it is the sum-380331 listed in the new catalog at 159.95. The package deal with the fans, shroud, rad, mounting brackets, thermal switch wires, relay and 16# cap was sum-csum3803 at 409.95. It went together easily and cools well
