Am I losing my mind on this door glass/vent window?

This is on an 88. I know the pass side glass was replaced by previous owner from vandalism. When you roll this window down just a few inches, the glass falls out of the track like the width is wrong (Left to right width as your standing and looking at the pass side door) so I pulled it all apart. Does this look like the correct door glass? Does it look wide enough in the bottom channel? Or do I have the wrong vent window? I already did all new regulators, weatherstripping, glass channel runs etc on the drivers side and it's good to to. The pass side is not working because something is wrong.

Thanks!

The rear channel guide lower bolt is slotted for adjustment. going to go look at an 84 driver side window and sash I have loose.

I just checked my loose front glass and the sash is glued on the same as yours. @ 1/2" on the back and @ 1 inch at the front.

Did you change all the same parts on the passenger side too? Is the inner regulator roller that attaches to the door in the track? Like Wes said, the channel bolts are slotted...The upper bolt hole for the rear channel is slotted for adjustment side to side and can cause problems if not aligned with the vent channel.

I have no installed the new glass channel on the pass side but I don't see that making much difference. On the rear track, I only have a top bolt and a bottom bolt and neither are slotted side to side. The glass width I'm referring to is the actual width of the glass left to right if the door was closed and you were looking square at it from the front of the truck to the rear of the truck.

I guess slotted is the wrong word. There is play within the bolt holes for adjustment purposes. As far as the size of the glass... like Wes said it appears to be installed in the sash properly. Maybe if you post up some measurements of what you have someone who has a window out can compare the measurements for you.

I would look at the rear bolt-in track. Check to see if the bracket that bolts to the inside of the door is bent and not holding the track far enough forwards to keep the glass in the run channel of the wing window frame. Maybe someone before you got rough with things.

Go down 4" from the top of the glass in the middle and that width is just about 22-5/8 and the width across the very bottom of the actual glass is about 27-1/8 and the glass height is 20-1/4 from the top of the glass to the TOP of the metal sash.

Just installed all the new weatherstripping and put the door glass back in. Nope. As soon as you start rolling down the glass, it falls out of the vent window track and becomes wobbly. I have lost my mind on this,

You should read my previous post, #7.
The rear track is responsible for making the window stay in the front channel.

All the glass looks correct in the pictures. Something must be up with the channel mounts or regulator. Have you compared everything with your drivers side? Is the regulator mounted securely to the door and motor..nothing bent? are any of the channel brackets bent, spot welds holding mounts broke, ( as previously mentioned) aligned properly?

Ok I feel like the dumbest person ever. @6872xtc nailed it. I started to focus on the rear track and comparing everything side to side. It wasn't obvious at first but I realized the previous owner bolted the bottom of the rear track in at a point further back on the door which was keeping the glass from riding in the track. I loosened both bolts and pulled it forward 4-5 inches and bolted it in where it was supposed to go and BAM we are back in business.

Thank you guys so much! I'm learning every day on this thing.

I am 270 miles away from the glass i was looking at on Wednesday. I'll be able to measure it Tuesday or Wednesday
