Anyone have any experiance from american autowire classic update wiring harness 510347.
I am in a full restoration of my blazer k5 -75 and want to put in a complete new wiring harness, but dont nos what to buy.

I've heard nothing but good about them. Plan on using one of their harnesses on my '70.

I used it for a complete rewire of mine. Very happy with it. Harnesses are nicely laid out. The rights sets of crimpers (yes, you'll need a few) are crucial though.

My buddy works for them. They have the original wiring dies from gm to do 100% period/oem correct harnesses. Top notch resto stuff

The company I work for buys harnesses from them all the time, and there has never been a problem with them. As far as experience with the exact product you are buying (PN# 510347) I have none because the only square body I have right now is a 1991, and nobody makes reproduction anything for those one-off oddball square body trucks.

Just curious, which harness are you guys using? All the ones I've found on their website (and others like Painless) don't have the wiring for the electric windows in the tail gates for K5's/Burbs or rear doors for Burbs/crew cabs...

Is it the 510347 harness that you used !? Think I read somwere that they also got year and model specific harness for the squarbodys!?

I’d have to dig thru my pics for the exact part#. But mine was 1st gen specific.

I have a 67 SW running a 350 toTPI and 700r4 trans.
I went totally new American auto wire under dash and all underhood.
Didn't replace any wiring from back of cab to tailights.
I have a security system, remote start, cruise, electric locks, electric windows as add on as well as all factory gages.
I used GM wire connectors for a factory look and I have had no issues. I don't remember the part number but mine is either 20 or 22 circuit power block. Paid $179.00.
Did this job 3 years ago.
I'd do it again.
Easy, peasy. Lemon squeezy.

I used one in mine...it was identical to oem and easy to install because it looked just like the old one

They only go to 1987 truck and no provisions for blazer or Sub. No power windows or door locks.. They have no kits for the 88-91 with TBI.:sign27:

I remember their catalog being difficult to navigate on the "oem" style harnesses...you may want to call them

I think Painless makes a wire harness for the 1988 to 1990, but the 1991 model year V3500 I have nobody makes a harness for that. The 1991 model year of square body truck is a total odd-ball.

The technology used on a 1991 square body is 1/2 1988-to-1990 technology, and 1/2 1992-to-1995 technology. I think when they finished the run of 1991 square body trucks that the GM factory threw out the manufacturing blue prints in the trash because nobody seems to have proper documentation for these.

I have a friend that works at a GM dealership, and he showed me all the illustrated diagrams they have on file for the 1991 V3500. All of it is wrong, and is for the 1988 to 1990 trucks...even though it says it is for the 1991 V3500. When I looked at the illustration for the 1991 4L80E/205 trans it showed the illustration of a Turbo-400. This is just one of the many things that are wrong with the GM documentation of the 1991 V3500 truck.
