So does anyone know what the approximate additional amount of droop with the sway bar (front) disconnected ?

It definitely makes a difference since the sway bar is a fixed length and the leafs have to get shorter to droop. Quantitatively, it will depend on what springs you have, unsprung weight, etc. If you have the sway bar disconnects, straight droop will be pretty similar with and without. Articulation is massively different, of course.

Going to add extension disconnects in the future. Plus while connected will compensate for the lift. I am just curious, for shock measurements. I will disconnect mine and get measurements

When are you messing with this thing next? Aren’t you super close by? I don’t want to do the things I need to do :haha:

I will probably be finishing up on Friday. Yeah we are close by each other. PM me if you want to drop by

I did finish today Friday. I did disconnect the sway bar at the axle and there was no difference in droop.

Wow! That I’m surprised about. I guess the pivot point is close enough to the same?

What kind of springs/shackles/shocks and how are you measuring?

I measured at the shock mounts bolt holes center to center shocks disconnected. Unknown mfg 4" lift spring 5 leaves. ORD, freshly installed, bushings and FUSH with HD shackles. All bushing hardware at the time of measurement was finger tight. U bolts were tight as I didn't disturb them. I only used the weight of the axle, and tires, to take the measurement
So a clarification, the sway bar bushing brackets were loose when I did the first measurement. The sway bar was pushing the axle @3/4" to right when I let the front eyes drop out of there brackets to swap out the bushings.
I have been also measuring top plate of u bolts to bottom edge of bump stop bracket, but I didn't get that measurement at full droop.
