Has anybody installed electric steps to their K5? If the answer is yes, (and I suspect it is) could you share your experiences with the install process and let me know which model of step you decided to use? Amp won't provide any technical assistance...

Unfortunately, Matt Raines, who uploaded the video, does not appear to be willing to provide any information beyond "it was for a dodge truck but took extensive fabrication and body work to fit." I am going to make this happen and will provide a more detailed description of the process. I would love to get a better idea of the model step he used. But he won't even provide that. If anybody knows of him a little help would be much appreciated. It would be nice to have a little bit of a head start...

I did a set on a suburban for an older couple. A lot of work went into it. I screwed my self by quoting the job. Not worth the effort unless you really need it.

If you wheel, they will be destroyed. For mall crawlers only.

Yeah, I get your point. In doing my research I found this step system used for a jeep. The company named Rock Slide Engineering looks to be super strong and completely enclosed in their rocker panel protection system. It's a bit pricey but since I'm working on a blazer and even though it is relatively rust free it still needs new rockers.
