I've got two 8 ohm 12" Rockford Fosgate subs in a large, ported box. They're paralleled together and bridged to the amp for 4 ohms. I want a new amp, I was thinking of a 600 watt Profile. I don't have a lot of money but I want my stereo to sound good.

I was also considering RF or Infinity 6x9s, 6 1/2s, and tweeters to complete the system in my truck.

i just sold my 2 12 in RF 8 ohm.. and as for the profile... dont!!! before i got rid of them i hooked up a profile to them... well lets say i blew my amp up and was considering using the profile to run them till i got another amp.. i would rather go without the subs then run there amp... lots of distortion, crossovers in them dont work right, just plain old junk if you ask me... As for keeping it cheap.. how cheap is cheap.. how much you looking to spend... 200-300 on an amp???

and yes that was very high distortion though the subs because of the amp...

Okay, no profile for me. But I'm willing to spend 200-300 for an amp.

I'm trying to sell a Rockford Fosgate Punch 800a2 amp if you are interested. I bought it from Best Buy about 1.5 years ago which means the service plan I got covers it for almost 2.5 years more. Still have the box, endcaps, manual, birth certificate, etc. It was rated at 998 watts on the certificate. I used to install car stereos fulltime at a shop...I'm certified in 2 different programs in the car audio field. Reason I mention that is because I'm the only person to touch/install the amp, so its wired correctly and its been taken care of. The Punch 800 sold for $600, plus the service plan and tax and your are looking at over $650. I'm asking $300 for it and that DOES include the shipping as long as you're in the lower 48. Please let me know if you are interested, because it will be going on Ebay next week if not.

No way I'll have $300 next week. It takes me almost a month to make that much money.

Sounds good man. Why don't you send me an email ([email protected]) and let me know when exactly you think you'll be able to get the money, how you'll pay, etc.

What I mean is, if its going to be like 2 weeks then I could probably wait. If its going to take a couple of months, then I'll try the Ebay thing. Either way is fine...no biggie. Just let me know.

Do the Ebay thing. I need balljoints more than I need a new amp.

Good idea...balljoints are just a little more high priority than some stereo stuff.

I might be interested. My old Alpine just took a dump. I'm concerened about the size. What are the dimensions?
Also is a 2 or 4 channel. I need a multi unless this can be wired in a different formation.

Its a 2 channel...what all do you need to run off of it? I'll measure it tonight sometime for you.

Right now I got 2 6x9s and a 10 Pioneer enclosed box woofer. The 6x9s are probably going to replaced with some seperates. Possibly a 6" mid and a 1" tweet.
My other question is what are the dimensions. It will have to fit under my drivers seat.
Sorry, brain fart. You answered the second part of my question.

run the 6x9 off the radios power and put the amp directly to the subs...

Sorry, I was off from work yesterday so I wasn't able to get back at you. My car is in the shop today (minor stuff) and I'll pick it up tonight. I won't be able to measure it until I get it back. The only problem I have is I can't get back to you until Monday. I use my work computer. I don't have one at home. If that's a problem let me know, I'll understand.
If it does fit, then it sounds like a winner to me.
Thanks

No problem. I don't mind waiting until Monday. I'll just cross my fingers and hope it fits. lol
