i was just talking with my father in law, he was thinking about making a tube bumper with a air attachment that you could fill up and use for poossible emergencies on the trail, what do you think?
 
this has been beat to death try a search and you will see how most of us feel about them.

<font color="green"> In the right situation it could, I suppose, but if you tear a hole in a bumper I would think that the small volume that it can hold would depressurize so fast that it wouldn't cause any damage. Lots of people have been doing this for quite a few years and I've never heard of anything bad coming of it. Besides that, when is the last time you saw a 3/16" wall bumper with a hole in it? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif </font color>
