Hey I'm new here, just checking in. A few friends & I wanted to find an affordable rig to take up to Lind, WA for some derby races. We settled on this stripped & rusted 1976 K5 & couldn't be happier since she's rough but ready. I'll likely be asking for advice, tips & plenty of bonehead questions so thought I'd introduce myself first!

She's stock 1976.. 350 & NP205, runs strong & drives well. We're prepping it for a very aggressive event & I'm already getting attached so any advice for how to make this survive & thrive will be much appreciated.

Here's a quick vid of the event so you get the idea:

Careful... Those east coast guys will start complaining about how that is mint for over there

And welcome... currently posting from Quincy, WA

Hello from the Tri-Cities, thanks for the welcome. Yeah she's definitely "east coast mint".. I'm excited for the project, pretty sure I'll find another one after this project is done & fix it up right. These beasts are impressive & the wife's more excited about the rig than I expected her to be.

What all do you need, exactly? I could probably be convinced to swap the straight panels for rusted/beat up ones.

That's gonna exceed my capabilities, sorry.. I could do minor swaps for like vehicles but mechanically I'm not up for much more than that.

Truck is too good to be sacrificed (yes i am from the east coast, but irregardless of that i feel the truck is still too good....).
