they run in groups of 20-25
4 legs
dark fur, black/brown
stand about 1 foot tall
about 1 foot long
maybe weigh 10-20 lbs

me and my neighbor were just out fishing the harpeth when we saw these things all together on the bank. we paddled up and spooked them and they all ran through the water. im usually pretty good at identifying animals and stuff outdoors but iv never seen something like this before. too small to be turkey, too many to be like an animal w/ offspring, not wild dogs, and i dont know groundhogs or the like to run in packs. almsot seemed like those south american rats iv seen on tv that grow to be huge.

we didnt get the best look at them because it was past dusk and quite dark out btu just wanted to see if anyone recognized what im talkin about.

we were in the middle tennessee, franklin part of the harpeth

tks

I guess Bigfoot is out of the question :haha: :haha:
Down here in Alabama there are a lot of nutrias. They look like large rats.

I'm guessing Nutria as well. Seems they're becoming quite a nuisance in parts of the country. On Insomniac with Dave Atell, he went out shooting Nutrias with some good ol' boys on one episode.
