And now for something completely diferent...

I just got the RV running and driving decent, so I figure it's a change of pace for me. I want to line up and try to race some ricer with it one of these nights, just to see what happens. But it's still not quite running perfectly yet.

I got my burb stuck in that same hole last year. Then my friend tried to push me out and got hung up on my reciever. What a cluster that was. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Isuzu make that new "Duramax" thingy that Chevy's so proud of these days?

Not exactly. Duramax is a joint venture between Isuzu and GM. GM owns a big part of Isuzu anyway.

Just checking, wanted to make sure we knew who we were picking on here /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My rig is old, but that don't mean she's slow...
Theres a flame from her stack and smoke blowin' black as coal...

I love my Blazer! Facts, however are facts, and the Japanese auto makers have been first in quality followed by the Europeans for years, at least until recently, when the American Auto makers have finally surpassed the europeans in quality, but that' still 2ond place behind the Japanese.

I worked for 15 years in the diesel truck refrigeration field (Thermo King). You know,, the rigs that run up and down our roads hauling refrigerated products in them,,,
well guess what,,,most of them have 4 cylinder Isuzu's in them,,thats right,, a C201 4 cylinder diesel that most of it's long neglected life runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
I have had the pleasure of working on thousands of these little jewels and have rebuilt hundreds of them. Most of the parts came out of boxes wrapped in General Motors paper. They are one tough motor.4 cylinder, 5 main bearings, rod and crank journals as big as a small block chevy, rod bolts bigger than most small blocks,17 quart oil pans, direct injection.

They are a true commitment to a quality product that rarely get's noticed on a daily basis. So make all your little comments about the Isuzu you want ,,but don't knock it's reliablity or durability.

BTW,,, I owned an 87 Trooper, drove it over 250,000 miles
still had the original drivetrain in it and I sold it for for 4K at 10 years old. Not to bad for a little truck that could!!!
