And yet another stupid tire question

Do you take into account the fact that when you buy a certain size tire & air it down it's not that size anymore? My reason is, dana 60 going in soon and will be stepping up to 39.5, or do you buy a 40 or 42" knowing once you air it down now it's a 39.5"

may be less than that when you air down. added traction = worth the lost ground clearance

Just buy the tire size you want to run, before you air down, and that wil be fine.

Not to mention the sides without weight will still be the normal size and capable of crunching body panels if too big.
