Ok... Who runs an angle plug head (other than me) and is running headers? What kind of headers do you run? 1st of 2nd gen?

I need a new exhaust system, mine is rotting off as I watch it. I want headers and I already have the 2.25" pipe from LMC... Thanks in advance

Why would you run 2 1/4 in pipe if you have a free enough flowing set of heads that they have angle plugs?

I run them. The '88 K5 has the ZZ4 in it. I run headman hedders on it. I have no more problems with it than I do with any other spark plugs on other vehicles.

I run 2.02 angle plugs with Hooker Super Comp headers. They say they will not fit angle plug heads but they fit fine with regular length spark plugs and 90 degree plug boots (they probably wouldn't with the long straight plug boots).

Keep in mind that there are variations of angle plug heads.

On the Late GM aluminum heads, the plug insulators are only angled inward toward each other making most headers still fit well. Race type heads (Brodix, Dart etc.) have the plug insulator angled both inward & pointing down. These will cause problems with many headers.

Which heads do you have?
Hope this helps.

i ran some brodix angle plugs in a first gen. hooker has a part # special for that application. they were super comps w/ 1 7/8" primarys & 3" collecters. they fit great & plugs were easy to get to.

Thanks for the input guys...

I went out tonight and picked up a set of Hedman's. I will be running them to a 2.25" stainless system with original 40-series flowmasters.

Why 2.25? so I can retain some amount of back pressure and low-end torque.

Thanks again
