So I’ve had an issue with my dash lights. When I turn my headlights on. Only the left side of the gauge lights work. On the right side. The lights don’t work ( even though I replaced them ), the gas gauge goes to empty, and the right directional light stays lit. Could this be a printed circuit issue?

With the retrosound radio. I purchased it about two years ago. My friends wires it in and it only worked when the headlights were on. I rewired just recently, so that it had constant power, and turned on with the ignition switch. The radio worked fine for a few weeks after that. Then the sound cut out driving one day. So I bought a new radio. While waiting for it to arrive sometimes when starting the truck the radio would randomly be working, just to cut out shortly after.

When the new radio arrived, I reconnected it to the wiring harnesses. Connected my phone to it and everything worked fine. I walked away while the music was playing ( phone was in the cup holder ) to grab some tools. When I returned back to the truck, the radio was no longer working. Anyone have any idea of what could be going on here. I haven’t got the slightest clue what the issue could be

The turn indicator always on check the running lamp bulbs if 1 on the right side is in backwards or the elements are shorted you can get an indicator lamp on.
I have a classic auto sound stereo, similar 5o retrosound I had a similar issue. I some how change a feature to some Europe only thing.
Hold the mode button for 30 seconds and see if your problem goes away.
The dash bulbs are sensitive, maybe the sockets are worn out

If half the cluster is out (basically) check the flex circuit connection where it meets up with the instrument panel connector. Those little copper traces can get dislodged and not make contact. It's a terrible design (but has worked for how many years? Lol)

As to the radio. I can't think of any circuit that is powered for a period of time. How are the connections (power and grounds) made with the wiring?
