Alright, I need new gears for the 14 bolt. The ones that are in it are 3.42's.
That won't work for 37's. The ? I have is this. Do I need a different carrier for
4.88 gears? Or just don't get the thick gears. And if so does anyone make a
spool that will fit 4.88's or should I weld? Eather are o.k. with me. Thanks for the help.

I am not sure about the carrier, but I think you just need thick gears.

For the spool, I am not aware of a full spool for the 14 bolt. Ouverson Engineering makes a mini-spool for the 14 bolt, and of course Detroits are cheap for these axles, and the ARB might show up some time in the future.

Don't get a new carrier, just use the thick gears. Thin gears for 14 bolts are scarce and very expensive.

Yukon gear makes a full spool for the 14 bolt and I sell it.

An 80's year K30 van. Like I said the ring gear is 45 teeth and the pinion is 14 teeth. It didn't make any since to me eather. Thats why I posted. So you say I'll be good with the carrier I have just buy thick gears.

Hmmm, that would equate to a 3.21 gear ratio.....am I missing something?

Is it an open carrier or Gov Lok limited slip?

Sounds like the same reaction I had. And its an open. But no worries I found that all I need to do is get the thick gears and that will solve my problem.
