Debating on putting a HP60 in my truck. Right now it's a 4-speed auto with the 208. I want to swap in a 465 with the Ford 205. I got the tranny and adapter off an 80s 3/4 ton, so got the 32 spline output along with the 208 adapter. Also have the short 32 spline input already in the Ford case.

I was told on Pirate that I can just drill and tap the Ford case to match the 208 mounting pattern. But when I had it apart, doesn't look like there is enough meat there to support the t-case.

Great Lakes Offroad has a clocking ring for the 6 bolt round pattern. Just talked to Shawn and said that with that ring would be the easiest way to go.

Anybody else done this??

I had to make my own clocking ring for my 241/205 setup (the 241 is a passenger drop case mounted upside down): just mark, drill and tap 6 holes.

IMO, that's a better way to go than drilling into the case.

I can get probly a free piece of 1/2 steel the size I need, so maybe I'll look into that....
