Looking very Beefy indeed! Welcome to CK5! (Edit: Looks like you been around awhile, but only 5 posts)

Your work looks very precise! Good job.:waytogo:

Not sure if your cage is done yet but my only comment on it would be the rear hoop terminating over the rear wheel wells. It look like a T joint. From what I have read, you should never end in a T. Lots of triangles is best. But what do I know:dunno:

Do you belong to the Bozeman club? Maybe I will see you around some time.

Nice build! Thats quite the truss you got on the rear axle. Looking forward to seeing more.

thanks guys , the cage has a way to go i'd say its maybe 60 percent done if that . any advice is appreciated

Looks real nice man...I think you need more truss though, it doesnt look beef enough yet:wink1: Looks like its a soon to be stout trail rig, good job.

That reminds me I had a build thread going once on a 72 k5  I wondder if its under that massive 38yr old paper weight in my garage.

thanks and i cant really tell ya a whole lot about the big block install in stock location i moved my block back about say 6 inches or 4 cant remember off the top of my head i moved it up another four and i still had to trim the frame for the headers but they may have fit better if the block sat further down :dunno: but... believe it or not i had to trim the crap out of the firewall

in regards to 90k5blaze's advise i plan on doing triangulation like this...

back cage triangle.jpg

do you this will adequately distribute the load of the joint above the fender well
