Goal: Go to Portland Swap Meet and back on limited funds, in vehicles never driven that far before.

Departure: Leave Spokane, Wa. late- 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning, after messing with trailer lights and replacing front main seal on motor for 2nd time.

Trip down: Still leaking oil. Stop and add 2 quarts every 20-35 miles.

8:30 am Thursday and 150 miles to go. Stop for another oil fill. Friend's driving my motorhome need nap.

10:30 am and 75 miles to go. Buy and put speedy sleeve on front harmonic balancer.

30 miles later discover oil still leaking. Find hole in timing cover. Continue oil fill ups and get to Portland Raceway at 4pm for swap meet. (Luckily T-Roy got there early and held the spot)

Friday morning: Roof still leaked when rained. Add more roof patch sealer.

Then tear into truck again.

Timing chain so worn it wore the hole through the cover.

Buy new chain and replace that and used cover I got from KennyW.

We are open for business.

Went and dropped off a driveline for mudhog. Got back 14 minutes after gate closing and had to walk in to the motorhome.

Saturday morning: Drive to Vancouver to get tabs for motorhome (they had expired). Dropped off a K5 top and met Chevyfumes.

KennyW and T-Roy on our last morning; a bit rainy.

Left Portland for Spokane at noon Sunday.

EVERYONE who passed us on my way home stared at my load for some reason.

It was nice to meet 3 new members, T-Roy, Chevyfumes, and MrBill.

I take it this was a buying and not a selling trip?
Whatcha gonna do with the partial RV?

and whats with the dually drag car or whatever it is? nice pics btw

It's a 25' Motorhome frame that's been cut off at the tail end (so it didn't overhang too much). The motorhome sports a rebuilt 454 with 12,000 miles, TH400 and a 14-bolt Dually rear, probably with 4.56's. As far as what's happening with it... well, look for more pics coming up.

My friend bought a go-cart frame from T-Roy, which we had strapped down over the motorhome frame.

I sold $385 in parts, which allotted us fuel money to get home, and I picked up a few things, mostly from our own booth. Except a bumper I really wanted, but didn't get. I'm still depressed over not getting it. Sorry, fumes if I seemed "not the cheeriest" when I met up with you. It was right after I called back to say hang onto that bumper and they told me it sold... so I was bummed.

Great to meet you too Allan. I didn't think I would ever meet anybody that talked less than KennyW, but thats cool. I had a great time. I'm glad you got home o.k. I actually sold enough of my crap that I was able to buy a sb400 for my Blazer and a couple little trinkets for my Chevelle. Who knows, maybe the 400 will wind up in the Chevelle?
I must say that everybody that I have met off of this site so far has been aces. Some are a little bizarre (Fumes, Kenny, Allan, Shane, Ryan, Jeff(s)), but I am glad to know you all.

I don't talk much, and I'm a horrid salesperson.

When I met fumes, he seemed normal enough.

I know I'm not though. And neither are my friends.
I hope Greg didn't get on your nerves when you gave him a ride into town. He's not the "speediest" person to get anything done. Thanks again for getting the spot for us when I was still on my way. Hope I didn't bore you with home videos.

Kinda funny the guy at the security gate was worried about my little oil drip and not your's dumping 2 quarts per mile

Had a great time this weekend. Sold all my junk parts and Allan took home all the stuff left over at the end of the weekend that would have otherwise went into the garbage can (he was the biggest customer of the free pile).

I hate to see any parts go to waste.

The Security guy at the gate said when we left Sat. night to go to Albany, Or that they wouldn't allow any trailers in or out after 7pm with of any sort on. When we got back with the motorhome frame at 10:55 pm, a different guy was at the gate and just waved us in. Guess it just depended on the person.

Kenny,

That's the most I've seen you reply since I started here, I feel like God just talked to me. :D
