Another BB 454 question

I am searching for a flywheel... not a secret /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
A lot of them say they are for either a 'internally or externally balanced 454'. Which are which? How can I tell which it is? Is there an easy way? Or is there a range of years that apply to each type?

AFAIK all production GM 454s are externally ballanced. some of the aftermarket cranks are internally ballanced. thats all i know.

all factory 454's are ext balance. that is the flywheel you need. any application from 75-90 should work. not sure if chevy changed crank hub pattern after that. get the one for the 11" clutch!
