I've seen many S-10 Blazers like that advertised for sale cheap locally ,in very nice condition ,except all of them "needs a transmission"...

If I were up to doing a tranny swap (and had the cash for a rebuilt one) I'd be tempted to get one..the S-10's aren't as simple to fix as an older square body and their frames do rot up here though,so you must look them over real good before buying..

Haha, this is too funny because I just bought one from AZ with a bad 4l60e. I also bought a rusted out same year ZR2 with the 5 speed and 91k miles to do a manual transmission swap.

It probably does, it had them done a while back, but could probably use them again, along with new shocks. although it does have bilsteins on it.

I got a 97 a couple of years back with 80k on it, haven't spent much on it since, has 125k now.
It's been my go to, and you have seen it pulling all my projects
