Tends to be me. Yep, that is #1041, the one where our Chalet forum member had gone quite a way through the 3/4 ton axle conversion, but was unfortunately killed in a car accident. His estate had the thing sold on ebay twice, but in the first case, the buyer himself met with some kind of financial crisis. The next more recent ebay winner was less than nice about his obligation to pick it up, and I gather the estate seller had to file a complaint with ebay over that... . site rep will let us know .
Anyway, this would be a worthwhile project, with the truck itself being largely rust-free from when I saw it myself several years ago right here in Phoenix, and the late forum member was no hack at the work he was doing.....
Why am i so tempted to buy that thing?
