Another CL Blazer ...$$$$$

yet another CL thread where everyone says "oh thats not worth the money". Has anyone priced out 572's, Atlas t-case's,Coilover shocks,Cage work, tires, beadlocks, gears, lockers,Alloy axleshafts, paint and body work, Fuel system,NO2 systems, Ect,Ect,Ect. I bet if he added up all his receipts theres well over 50,000 in parts AND labor .

# 1- Would I pay it ? Nope I wouldn't I like to build them my self its half the fun.

# 2- Did he spend that much ? bet it was more than his asking price if you added it all up

# 3 - Can you expect to get a return on a Vehicle buildup? No not usually but that doesn't mean you cant ask a certin price and work down from there.

# 4 - Do I think all the trash talkers in these threads are Delusional, misinformed, and broke and couldn't afford it anyways?? Yes I do , sounds like sour grapes boys you cant afford it so you talk **** about it.

It's pretty from a distance, but up close, it ain't so great. But then, it's not made to be a show rig. I agree there is some inconsistencies on it (headlight switch, tow hook) but he prolly don't care a whole lot about a show and shine, just whether it can get to the other end of the mud pit quicker then the competition. I'd wheel the piss outta it as it is.:D

Personally I think it's sick as hell. I'd love to have some of those parts on my rig. And yes even if you did most of it your self cost would probably be pretty close to 50 g's but of course you can't sell it for that.

I think it's a rad mud slingin beast.:waytogo:

I noticed he's got bushwacker flares. I know Bushwacker makes flares for our rigs but is there something unique to those ones. They seem to follow the lines of where he cut the fenders. I'll need some like that when I go to trim my fenders. Anybody know what's up with that??

Agreed, but...

If you have the sack to ask $50K I think you gotta be sure what you're offering is done extremely well, and in this case there is more than one thing that looks not so cool. He'd be better off keeping the 572, altlas and a few other high $$ parts, replacing them with more common and cheap parts and aim for $5-8K. It's not sour grapes on my part, just common sense. Anyone with $50K to spend is going to be expecting a lot better than what I see in those pics.

oh yeah agreed the fab work is less than stellar, But saying the trucks not worth the coin when it Cant be duplicated for even the asking price is kinda balsy too.

The naysayers never have a specific amount that they would pay because they dont really know whats involved . you cant excpect to offer 8000.00 for a truck that has 8000.00 worth of tires wheels and axles among other things.

If you dont like the price make an offer ...... if you can, otherwise your comments do seem like someone who's bitter that some one has a cooler toy then they do .

Granted I'm not saying the truck is "worth 50,000" but if you sum up the parts and labor to do it yourself well your looking at the same kind of money when its all said and done cant fault the guy for TRYING to recover his money Like I said before . Dont like the price?? make a counter offer or move on.

We're on the same page, but (playing devil's advocate here) how many hundreds of us here have rigs that couldn't be duplicated for under $25K and still can't seem to get $6K or more out of them? The sad truth is this is a very DIY hobby, and no matter how good the build it's extremely rare to find a rig you honestly wouldn't build even just a little different.

These are the reasons most rigs that extreme get parted out. I wasn't gonna get 10cents/dollar for my K5. I kept what was important/spendy and did my best with the remains. The fact I got fuvked by the guy that got the remains of my K5 is irrelevant.

I think why people are kinda laughing/sneering at this guy ios because to a certain extent they have some first hand experience trying to sell something that is very custom/personal and know what the real world pricing is.

All the spendy parts of this rig unbolt easily. What's left after you remove the eye candy/bling/$$$ stuff? Basically a POS...and that is the major point that I see.

I think we both play alittle devils advocate from time to time LOL.

yes he damn sure could make more money parting it out then selling it whole.

if I were to buy it ( not for 50,000 ) I would part it out , and use the tub and cage on a different frame as a sweet trail rig lol

really? you guys don't know what its for!?!

driveshaft loops. cage the joints if they fail so they don't kill someone ring a bell???

I'm used to driveshaft loops that go to the frame, say, and keep the shaft from flailing off.

So that's a cage for when the U-joint pops, huh?

yep he must race open class in NMRO sanctioned there required

Does he have shackles on both ends of the rear springs? It has them on the front eye, but I can't see a good shot of the rear to tell if it is on both ends or not.

that is one nice truck, The price seems a little steep, but i guess it is worth whatever someone will pay so you never know lol

I think we have finally found the elusive frame "fabbed entirely from weld"

Can I test drive?
