Another clutch flywheel question

I am swapping the 400/203 in my 79 k20. I have a 4 speed and t case, hydro bell and flywheel from an 86. The 86 flywheel does not bolt up to the 79 motor, I think because of the difference in the rear main. When was the break for this? I think 86 was the first year for one piece rear main. I did some searching and did not get a solid answer on which year flywheel and clutch I need to buy. I THINK I can get away with a 79 flywheel and an 86 clutch but I am unsure. What do you guys think?

1986 Is the change over year. You just need the Pre-86 flywheel. The 86 clutch should work just fine.
