well i thought i was done with electrical stuff a while back when i got all the lighting and signals figured out. however I'm now stumped as to why my truck now has no power to the cab. I drove it home last thursday, ran fine. Got up the next morning to leave for school and it's dead. No horn, lights, flashers, gauge lights, nada.
Battery is fully charged. I have full voltage to starter and junction block on firewall. nothing else other than those two. I dropped the starter down to check the connections and thought they weren't perfect, they function, so I tightened all those up and bolted the starter back in. What am I missing? Did I lose a connection on the starter or have a bad one, or possibly burned a wire in half, bad solenoid? Any help is appreciated guys.
On a side note...i really don't like how GM made the cab get it's power through the starter, i mean it works, but i hate working on it, especially when there's headers and a heat shield in the way.
