I finally stopped procastinating and took the time to record the sound of my exhaust system, which includes a pair of flowmaster 40 series. Tell me what you think.

1) Goto my website http://blazer79.coloradok5.com
2) Click on sounds (and any other link you like).
3) Read all the description on the sounds page.
4) Download the three files.
5) Enjoy.

PS. If you pass this link, make sure you pass the http://blazer79.coloradok5.com one because the files are currently located in another website and someone else will not know the whole story of the audio files.

I like the headers but have a diesel and don't think they'll fit. In fact I have a hard time finding parts at all. Expecially new aftermarket parts. 3" or 4" open exhaust with a good set of headers would be sweeeeet!

Juan,

Sounds good! Reminds me of the sound of my K5. I have 2.5" exhaust through Walker DynoMax 2.5" Mufflers.

Thank you for taking the time to do that!

Do anyone now if I can use flowmasters on my 6,2l diesel. And if they will make the same sound as the gasoline engines do?. Will this open the exhaust upp enough for me to turn upp the pump-pressure? Just got me thinking...

Thanks for all the praises guys. It only took a few minutes (and a gallon of gas).

I still want to record how it sounds when you "hear it coming" at WOT. I asked my brother to do it, but I only spent another gallon of gas and he recorded silence.

I was able to record his '86 Camaro though. Check it out:

He has the stock exhaust with no headers, no cat and a single muffler. Sounds very nice, only not as loud.

Sounds quite a bit like my truck. I like. What have you done to your engine.

Chevy good...Ford bad

The engine is practically stock. The only mods are an Edelbrock #2101 intake, #1910 Q-jet, a 14"x5" round K&N filter (I know, 910cfm of flow is overkill for a 350), chrome valve covers (does that affect sound?

) and Flowtech Afterburners headers.
