Got my driver side of the 60 to bare knuckle, how to I remove the knuckle at this point? I got the top plate off, spring and bushing out, but the bottom plate doesn't want to budge. Will it be alright if I put a little heat to it to try and break it free? or am I missing something?

Tap the corner of the bottom plate, try to get it to rotate 90° so the sides will stick out. Then tap it down from the knuckle.

That would be my advise also. Just don't egg shape the holes while pounding on it. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif By the looks of the rust on your axle you are going to have fun /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

Hose it down with pb blaster also.

Soak the crap out of it with PB blaster. take a sharp flat chiesel at one spot and hammer it in between the plate and the knuckle.it should move. you have to do this in a few different spots. it will come out, it just takes a little time.

My 2 Chevy ones came out very easy tonight. Did both, then went and tried the Ford again, and it did me crap. Seems like the grease has some major vaccum seal on that thing. Maybe punching a hole in the dust cover thing would release it.
