OH and BTW I talked to the guy w/ the 350/205 a bit ago. Its a fixed yoke 205 he wants 350 for the combo and the tranny is good! He wants to meet up at lunch time tommorow to discuss what all we have between us to trade, and said we would work somethin out! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Itll still require down time for PI since Ill have to get a new rear shaft but I can live w/ that. I think the front shafts interchange dont they? What all is required to swap in a 205? Different Xmember or anything like that?
 
Sorry, but something is going wrong with the rebuilds. The T350 is hella strong, it'll hold up to rat power and survive is built right and maintained.

Something is causing this recurring problem.

All due respect to Rene, but a 465 isn't the answer to every tranny woe. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
 
The recurring problem was w/ the 1st tranny. This one (completely different one) hasnt given me any problems till now. The 1st one went in the scrap pile.

Im wondering if the planet carier went out. I have the aftermarket conversion tail shaft for 350/208. Correct me if Im wrong, its been over 15 yrs since I was inside a tranny, but isnt the planet carrier part of the tail shaft? If so I am wondering if the aftermarket part was just inferior.
