that plans are SAS, 4-5" leaf spring lift, D60/14ff,toy duals, built 22R running on propane, flat bed, saginaw power steering with a scout box/hydro assist. 39.5 IROCS :D

oh and here's the reason i'm ditching the 22RE

i will keep my 74 K5 and keep it streetable and more of a mall crawler.

it will also be really nice to trailer a 4000 pound rig than a 6000 pound pig :D

Nice. Ill be picking up an 85 within the week, i just have to figure out how to get it to my house first. Ive missed my old '83 ever since i sold it, that truck rocked.

My wheeler is a yota now too. Mine is a 81. 22r, 5 speed single t-case(soon to be dual have all the parts) toy axles front and rear with 5.29 gears and lockers front and rear. On 35" MTRs. I love it because it fits on my low profile racecar trailer, so I can tow it anywhere.

I have an 82 sr5 pickup toyota that my grandpa bought brand new. The only owners have been him, my dad, and myself. They were good to it, I managed to crack the engine block, and now it sits in my driveway. It's demise is the reason I got the K5. I have no plans of getting rid of it, ever. It's got 33" BFG All-terains, 4.11 and a 3" lift, otherwise its bone stock. That thing got me out of so many seemingly impossible situations. Can't wait to figure out what to do about a new motor. A propane powered built 22R is sounding pretty sweet.

I had an '81 SR5 4x4 that I traded for my 'burb. I built a flatbed for it, had put Maxima seats in it, built sliders for it, just needed something bigger. I still have a new rf fender for on the shelf. There are some pics. of it in the album in my sig.

i'd wheel a toy, if i could fit in one! they arent very forgiving to a 6'3" 230lb frame. even the 4runners are hard for me to fit in. my g/f's 98' is ok tho, newer bodystyle gave a ton more room for the driver. too bad its not 4wd.

they make awesome wheelers, i dont consider them the "dark side". well maybe the grey area. heeps are the dark side. :D

How much for all of the RE stuff? I've a carb'd truck I want to convert.

I'm 6'2", 350lbs. and drove one for two years.

Only the pre-84 heads have the different intake port size. 84 on up, both R, RE, and RET motors have the same heads.

i will be atleast august befor i even think about the engine swap so untill then i am hanging on the everthing. cause who knows i might change my mind by then.

i would really like to stroke it but LC engineering wants $1800 for a rotating assembly and $3200 for a short block .

but i will probably fork over the cash to do it :screwy:

would you consider it comfortable? i drove one across town and felt like a circus car, my knees were hitting the dash and the steering wheel was in my lap.

I'm 6'5" and 210, and comfortably drove one for daily for 2 years. It was an '83 regular cab, i even road tripped in it.

ive got a toyota, mine is an 81 so its already got an axle in it.

Yotas are great. I love mine. I wish I could Hybrid a K5 and a 4runner. They each are spectacular trucks in different areas.
