what about the BCC(broadcast code)? thats all i need before i can start playin around with .bins.

Is it printed on my ecm or is it one code for all the ecms? Where can i find it?

thanks,

Just so others know, this is what an installed Prominator looks like.
This is in my 730 ECM for my TPI.
The cables go to my laptop(larger cable)and the smaller one goes to a selectable switch. It allows me to select a BIN file for different conditions(power, towing, economy, valet, etc)

Here it is all closed up.

The BCC should be on the chip under the blue cover in Bobk's pics above. When you open your ECM cover, you'll see it, and you'll see the 4 letter BCC.

I don't believe ALL ECM's used the blue cover, but you should still be able to easily find the BCC.

Ok....bob is that a memcal adapter? Where did you get the prominator? did the switch come with it or do you buy that for extra?

No,that the actual Prominator that the OEM chip plugs into.

This is how things look stock.

Remove the stock chip.

Then plug it into the Prominator.

Then plug the Prominator where the stock chip was plugged into.

i don't think the older ones are just plug in like yours i have opened tbi computers fromt he late 80's and you have to desoder the board to attach a prominator

I believe you are correct.
Mine is a 730 ECM for 90-92 TPI.I think the older TBI ECM's you have to desolder.
