I cant imagine it would hurt the engine at all. I've ran mobile 1 in my blazer since its first oil change. (now it's strictly royal purple) but yeah I've got 195K on mine and there are no problems at all. I'd say go for it.

Depends if it's been serviced properly over the years or not. If it has, it won't be a problem. If it hasn't, then the engine has some crap built and the synthetic will wash it away and make the engine a leaker.

Like others have stated, I would advice against running Synthetic. your motor wont really reap the rewards from it IMO. Jus run some good brandname oil like Castrol high mileage and a bottle of Lucas, youll be fine.
