do i need it,... probably....not, but i have it. actually i have 2. i wonder how much my electric bill will go up just so i have dry p5(6010) & 7018 rod's should i ever need to do a root/hot pass/cap weld and know its done right. it wouldn't be the 1st one of my welds x-rayed.

A 60 watt bulb inside a dead microwave works too...just saying.

yea my rods now are kept in a old small fridge w/bulb wired to stay on. it is a good way but takes up alot of room. i hadnt thought about a micrwave oven. good call!

the fridge i think is better since the door is sealed airtight and will keep moisture out for sure. microwave doors are not sealed.
