1987 R30 454 tbi it just wont start. I had the module tested new coil cap rotor wires. computer will pull no codes spins over just fine just no spark. By the way I checked all the grounds even added some. Is there any way to see if the computer is bad besides trying another one? HELP PLEASE

check the ingition coil, if its fried there wont be any spark and it wont throw any codes.

If the module is good and you've replaced the ignition coil then i'll bet you have a bad pick-up coil inside the distributor.

ECM has nothing to do with spark, that's all handled outside of the ECM.

Second the pickup coil, you can test or replace it.

Forget the parts store tests, they aren't under realistic conditions and IMO don't accurately reflect what's going on in the engine bay. Do them yourself. :)

Thanks Ill check the pickup coil tommorow. I agree about the tests last time Advance just gave me a new module said there was no way to heat it for the test. This problem has only happen one time before now but it started on third time now no dice. Oh I also fixed the check eng light, just repinned the harness at the gauges and used the light for 4x4 works fine now.
