Another Too Much Question (CUCV)

Got a line on a set of axles M1009 (D60 open 4.56, 14ff Detoit locked 4.56) Hub to Hub / Drum to Drum. SRW

1300 Bucks.

Sound about right? It's about what I was expecting to pay. I know there are better deals out there, but I can't find them. As a matter of fact, I can't find a D60 locally P-E-R-I-O-D. If I lived in NY, WA, or MI looks like I could find them all day long, from what ive seen online. Anyway give me your thoughts while I've still got 'em in reach.

sounds like a good deal. Military axles are usually fairly low mileage.

That running gear is outa the truck verson m1008 1 1/4 ton.Ive seen quite a few people on ebay and toher sites paring the trucks out and other places sellin diffs or anything you need off them.

Here's an ebay thingy with a complete truck for around that price (right now anyway) You may wanna check it out. That way you get all the good stuff and a tranny and a 6.2 etc...

That is a M1009 it is no different than any 6.2 powered K5 i.e. it is still has 10 bolts. The M1008 is a 1 ton truck with a 6.2 dana 60 and 14FF with a detroit and both with 4.56s from the factory.

Thats one of my trucks. nobody on ebay knows what they are ask questions like does have A/C cruise control or power windows
