Another welder thread looking for experiences

I just bought the Millermatic 211, the main reason for me was that I have to work out of my dads shop due to a divorce and having to sell my place. In my dads shop he only has one plug for 220 and his aircompressor is plugged into that outlet. The rest are 110. With the MM211 I can use it on 110 in his shop but when I can build another shop I can use it on 220. That capability was perfect for me.

With the MM211 it took about 20 minutes to setup, 20 minutes to fine tune it and then I was welding from 28ga to 1/8. That was the first time I have ever used a MIG. My Lincoln ARC will probably see very little use now.

I went with the 211 and am very impressed with it so far. I get my 220 hooked up in my garage on tuesday so I should be able to melt some metal after that.

I got a Miller 180 a few months ago, and my 8yo son can lay a pretty good bead with it. Very easy to use. I love it.
