Looking at a '67 GMC 2500. 4 speed/t-case still in truck, but the engine is missing. Has the small rear window in the cab. It's lifted and looks moderately rust-free. Guy's asking $2300 for it. I'll add some pictures after I go check it out tomorrow. Just trying to see if it's reasonable just from the limited info I've given.

Hard to say on value, but that's a pretty rare truck from what I hear. A good friend has a very similar rig, but only a chevy. Currently in about a million pieces.

I'd pay that for a solid rebuildable 67 Chevy let alone a GMC. It's worth it to me for a workable truck.

Yeah I was thinking Chevy or GMC, a 3/4 ton 4x4 in a '67? Pretty rare right?

They sold quite a few back in the day--3/4 ton 4x4's that is--but they are mostly extinct now,and a '67 GMC 4x4 up here that isn't a rotbox ,and has the small back window are scarce and would be worth all of $2500 with no engine..at least!.

I wouldn't mind having one !..

Growing up I knew a guy who ran a small one man gas station, who had a red '67 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 283 V8 and a 4 speed--it was a factory Holmes tow truck conversion, bought it new from a local GMC dealer --he towed a lot of broken down cars and pickups in with that truck,he used to haul wrecks for the small town's police department also..that truck pulled some much larger and heavier vehicles out of ditches and snowbanks over the years..I remember it having factory 19" 8 lug rims & tires..

I think a 3/4 ton was the largest 4x4 you could get that year ?..

would love to re-create my dads old 1970 k2500 gmc ...... i could do it easy as i still have the trucks front bumper . the plow frame was just angle iron home made . had a 8ft 6in meyers plow on it back in the day . sbc/465/205/4.56 power loc posi rear dana 60 and open knuckle drum brake 44 dana front .

So, I went and looked at this thing. The only factory items left on it were the body and frame. The remaining drivetrain was from an 80's 2500. I thanked the guy for letting me look and walked away.

that would be fine for me as i would do a 60/14ff combo and nv4500 trans with 205 and maybe a 8.1 .... but i cant buy it now so oh well .

This is mine but it's a 1/2 T Chevy. Buddy buckets and 5 grand tach.20180404_121540.jpg

So were you looking for a restoration candidate?
The running gear is the same except the rear axle would be a Eaton.
The front would also have an external lockout easily aquired
