Hello,

I need to replace the antenna cable assembly and mast on my 1991 Blazer from a 1989 - 1991 Blazer / Jimmy / Suburban.

The assembly cable is the part that the antenna mast threads onto and unfortunately this part has been discontinued and isn't available in the aftermarket either, so I need the antenna and mast cable off of a 1989-1991 Blazer/Jimmy/Suburban.

I broke the cable assembly when trying to remove the antenna from where the assembly cable comes up through the fender, then I realized that I could have just left the seized mast attached to the assembly cable and removed the whole thing as one piece.

If you have a good antenna and mast cable still on a 1989 - 1991 Blazer / Jimmy / Suburban that you're parting out, that could be pulled off as one piece, that would do nicely.

To remove it all as one piece, you pop the cover off of the base of the antenna, remove the 3 screws, disconnect the other end of the cable under the hood (it's about 18" long), then pull the assembly cable with the antenna still attached up and out of the fender.

Is there someone in this forum who has lots of 1989 - 1991 Blazer"s / Jimmy's / Suburban's I should contact?

Alternatively,, the assembly cable appears to be GM part # 15562310 (a picture of the part is attached) if you happen to have one lying around, (the antenna to go on it is still available new).

Thanks!

Clay

To help in your search, the same antenna was used on 80's A-body cars, which are Celebrity, 6000, Century and Cutlass Ciera.

Good to know. Thanks!

I actually found a guy that had two NOS antenna cables, so I bought them both in case I ever need another one. :)
