anti wrap idea?

you dont have 600 lbs of torque either.. lol, i'm just worried with the amount of tq i have it could shear off

I have gears. 300 ft lbs put through twice as much low range is the exact same thing as 600 ft lbs put through an automatic.

The driveline doesn't care if torque comes from motor or gears...the physics operating on it are the same.

your right.... and since i'm on a budget, it may be a route similar to yours that i end up going with then, i just wanted to look at all options

Utilizes a Johnny joint and a poly spring bushing with the shackle in between.

Price varies according to customer desires. Call for pricing.

Good link on the Pirate Board. But there seems to be several ways to weld iron to steel. I wouldn't go with the bolts only because you're uncertain of the welds. But, I do think your method of a piece bolting at the pinion and wrapping around and bolting to the cover is a good one. Market that sucker, you can tag it with the all so friendly title "BOLT ON" and sell millions!

Good idea.

with a leaf spring suspension that graderball setup would be a big mistake. It will just bind up bad.

Unless you put shackles at both ends of the springs. Seems to me that this would be a case of "one step up, one step back" though... the benefits of a link-suspension with the drawbacks of a leaf-suspension.
