Local yard has an AMX, think it's a 74'. Motor was supposedly a 401, didn't look to see if it was stick or auto. I'm trying to find out what rear is in this. Did a search, didnt' really find much, other than could be a AMC 20 or a "Dana", didn't say 44 60 or what. Just want to find out what it has and part it out....

I'm no guru, but I do own an '80 Spirit. I know a lot of people I would call guru's- if you can describe what the rear end looks like, I could probably find out for you. If you're wanting to part it out, I could get you in touch with some places/people to list the parts.
The car is in the weeds up over the car. I'm just starting to get over poison ivy, DO NOT want to get it again!!! I know what the rears look like, but I can't see under the car to tell. But from what checking I did find out that if the car indeed have a 401, and depending what tranny it has, could have 3.15s or 3.54s. Now the 3.15s don't sound like a Dana, but the 3.54s do.
