I'm trying to find a good spot on the side of the cab to tie a roll cage "A" pillar bar to above the kick panels but below the windshield pillar. This area is tough to see because of all the crap going on under the stock dash, anybody have pics of a cab with the entire dash removed? I'm mostly looking for a good spot to bolt a bracket to since welding behind the dash shell would be a PITA.

Tagging all the folks that I can think of that have cut the stock dash out.

I'll post what I have from the crew cab:

Those pics are perfect - thank you! I see there are 2 bolts per side that I can try to tie the A pillars to for support.

Not yet, I'm in too deep now. I'm trying to figure out what to do. :doah:

Yeah, you can tell by the wear where the 2 bolts are for the stock dash. The bottom mounting points are not the strongest tho.

Yeah, after finding that lower bolt on my truck it looked like it might only be 3/8" or (mm equivalent) but I'm hoping that if I use both bolt holes per side that would be enough to brace up the cab.

Note: my goal is to tie the cage to the cab to restore some structural rigidity after my full top chop. For the B pillar, I'll be using seatbelt retractor holes that are at approx 12" and 24" up from the floor.

Scott got to that quick. Those two bolt attachment points is what I was thinking of as your best option, even if you have to re-enforce those points. Otherwise it's going to be custom.

Yeah, I'm thinking a couple of tabs to those points would be easier than trying to weld a vertical plate under the dash.
