i went to pismo and made the mistake of letting a friend drive.
busted 208? lol yea the guy with the new t case is the dumb a** that broke my truck.

i went to pismo and made the mistake of letting a friend drive. busted 208? lol yea the guy with the new t case is the dumb a** that broke my truck.
so you went and got a new one and brought it back - or you're overly prepared and brought another with you? that's crazy man. what was the cause of the break?

what happened was i drove back to santa barbara to get another and switch it out but the imput shafts.... my 400 was a 32 splin and the new case was 28 from 700 r4 so we tried to fix it on the beach but the sand and the cold got to us. we moved it to a friends in town and im rebuilding and swaping shafts the right way... well see. we hit a steep dune... 30 -40 dug in the nose and some rear axel wrap happened and crack!

It was that wet sand. I would NEVER wheel in Pismo with wet sand. Last time I tried, came over the top of a dune, got about 3' of air, and WHAM. Came down like a sack of bricks. Plus it puts tons more stress on your steering linkage. But the sound of wet sand under the tires is always cool.
