I've been dabbling in adjusting chips for GM system conversions to other motors but no experience in bigger cams.

I use WinALDL to record data. TunerPro and Cats Tuner to make adjustments to the bin file. Pocket Programmer III to burn the chips.

Problem I'm having is cold start on a big cam engine, it fires right up then floods out. I attribute this to the low vacuum (12 inches compared to stock at 19 inches here) and have been trying to adjust VE table to compensate. Any info? After a horrible cold start it'll run pretty good...

If your idle BLMs are ok at hot idle then adjust your "air fuel ratio at startup vs coolant temp" and scale it back around 20 percent and see what that does. Then go into "IAC steps vs coolant temp" and add 10 or so steps to that table in the 37 degree (celsius) and colder spots to start with. Hope that helps.
