any comments /suggestions ?

It is important that you post something we can SEE (pics) so that we can TALK about something we can't actually HEAR. :haha:

J/K man. How are you liking those Infinity Component speakers??

I'm takin it that your D/D is the dodge but is it a regular, extended or crew cab? Just wanting to know as how i'd also like to run the Infinity's but it is going in a regular cab.

Thanks :D

My Alpine processor has imprint (pxa-h701). While I dont have it installed yet, I have no intentions of using the microphone/imprint setup. Everything Ive read about it suggests it will do a slightly better job making adjustments than would a semi-retarded school child. The BEST Ive heard on them is that they can provide at least a starting place for tuning, for someone who wouldn't otherwise know where to begin.

For example, if it works the way ive been told, it will screw up the time alignment. Run it, then go look what it sets for pathlengths for each speaker. ;)

You are much better off learning the functions you wish to adjust, and set them yourself.

Don't believe everything you read ,,,,This ain't my first rodeo...
I think I have a pretty good ear for setting up a system, I just wanted to see
if the computer could do a better job.

I will say it nails the time alignment when you do all 6 positions,It is a little conservitive on bass but I set the gain a little low and then adjusted after the imprint was done.

using the imprint is the only way to unlock the bass and treble control on the main dial ( thanks Alpine ) otherwise your stuck adjusting the eq constantly.

I will get some pics up soon....

I am very satisfied with the overall quality of the system and it rocks plenty
hard enough for me !!

Funny, people Ive talked to have said the time alignment was one of the worst things it tried to adjust. Speakers that were 5ft from the listener were set at like 23 feet, EQ settings all over the place, xo filters that need to be readjusted, etc. Ive even seen an Alpine representative say similar comments... good for getting started, never intended for true system tuning.

Maybe I'll try mine, but I guarantee someone with a good set of ears should be able to do a better job.

yeah, agreed i think every nice system is going to be different in some way or another. some people love the highs some love the lows and will tune it based on what they hear. i don't like the idea of something telling me it sounds good. just my 2 cents, i only have front speakers right now cause they are awesome and im lazy to by another set of focals... late
